The Marine Experimental Station at Cape Shultsa greeted the film crew of Public Television of Primorye with a warning sign: "Do not enter! Tiger tracks detected." However, even more fascinating tracks are being left in the seas by robotic monitoring technologies for space, ocean, and aquaculture. We traced the path from fundamental oceanological science in Vladivostok, through engineering and naval architectural design in St. Petersburg, to the construction of an ocean fish farm in China's Guangdong Province.
