POI FEB RAS scientists contributed to 7th Annual International Investment Forum and Exhibition East Russia Oil and Gas Forum

6th Annual International Investment Forum and Exhibition East Russia Oil and Gas Forum was held in Vladivostok on 6 and 7 July 2022. The event was devoted to the flagship oil and gas projects development in Eastern Siberia and Far East.

Far Eastern Federal University hosted the Forum. The list of participants included a wide range of contributors and attendants looking for the partners of joint projects to be carried out in Russian Far East: government officials, investors from P.R.China, Japan, Republic of Korea, and Kingdom of Thailand.

The Forum covered the topics related to oil and gas complexes - technologies of hydrocarbon deposits exploration and extraction, oil and gas industry financing, oil and gas geochemistry, use of gas for fertilizer production, extraction of associated gases during operation, separation of microelements from gases as well as other science and technology issues. The forum was attended by a group of POI FEB RAS’s scientists.

Panel discussions and sessions took place on July 7, 2022. Dr. Obzhirov moderated the 8th panel discussion “Challenges and prospects of geological exploration of the O&G fields in the Far East”. He delivered the report on the gas-geochemical method of oil and gas deposits and gas hydrates searching and forecasting, as well as environmental aspects of its development in the seas of the World Ocean.

East Russia Oil and Gas Forum has become a professional platform providing opportunities to establish dialogue, share experience, search for solutions and consolidate the efforts oт business development. They discussed scientific and technology issues aiming to improve the forecasting efficiency, exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits and its use in the environmental safety national economy.
